Malama is Head of Treasury at First Capital Bank Limited. He holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree with Statistics. He also holds a University of Stellenbosch Executive Development certificate, a CRISIL ALCO certificate and is pursuing the CFA designation.

He has served in various roles in different Banks, including Standard Chartered Bank Zambia, Ecobank and Investrust Bank Plc.  He has over 16 years’ experience in the Banking and Financial Services sector across various functions including Balance sheet management, Treasury Sales and Trading, Wealth Management and Credit.

Malama is a past Regional Head for Africa at ACI, the Financial Markets Association and was a member of the ACI FMA Management Board, headquartered in Paris, France.
